2026 Marilyn D. Harris Research Grant Awarded
We received eight strong applications for the 2026 funding cycle, and two outstanding proposals were selected for support.
Erin M. Donnelly, BSN, RN (Villanova University) will conduct “Factors Affecting Medication Management and the Impact on Healthcare Utilization in Homebound Older Adults: A Secondary Analysis of the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS),” examining how dependence in medication management relates to healthcare use among homebound older adults.
Dr. Lailatun Ni’mah (Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga) will lead “Investigating the Need for Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis Treatment at Home: Patient Perspective in Indonesia,” a qualitative study exploring patients’ experiences with home-based Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) and the support they need to manage treatment.
This is the 7th year that IHCNO awarded research grants to advance evidence-based practice, nursing education, and policy development related to home healthcare nursing. This year is the first time multiple grants have been awarded. The next round for research grant applications will open in about 6 months with the application deadline September 30. Read about prior award recipients and their projects conducted across the globe on the IHCNO website, https://ihcno.org/aws/IHCNO/pt/sp/past-grant.
We thank generous donors who have supported the research program now and in the future.
